Put things into perspective

In New York City’s Harlem circa 1987, an overweight, abused, illiterate teen who is pregnant with her second child is invited to enroll in an alternative school in hopes that her life can head in a new direction.

This is a description of a very harsh and touching movie. A great movie when it comes to psychology. It’s called Precious and is based on the novel Push. It is a movies that is hard to watch because of the physical and psychologic abuse, however it’s a very clever and giving movie.

The actors are brilliant and you are very much drawn into the movie because of this.

Whenever I feel bad…

Whenever I feel like life is cruel to me, I see this movie – Precious. This really puts things into perspective, and makes me appreciate my life. Makes me want to fight whenever I feel down.
